The Hippperholme and Lightcliffe Art Society
The Hipperholme and Lightcliffe Art Society was founded in 1965. It exists to:
arrange demonstrations with experienced artists
provide information and assistance to all members of the society
arrange workshops for members
arrange outdoor painting opportunities
arrange exhibitions and publicise exhibitions organised by others.
Membership currently numbers about 15-20. Members meet on a weekly basis on Tuesdays from 7 pm to 9 pm at Park Row Centre (formerly Brighouse Rest Centre), Park Row, Brighouse HD6 1AB. A tea/coffee break is held usually from 8 pm for about 15 minutes. The membership year runs from 1 October each year.
As of 2025, the annual subscription is £30 and then just £3 a session. Demonstrations and demonstration workshops are £5. Refreshments are available.
